# How many days until the eighth grade exam?

**189 days left until the eighth grade exam.**

Date: Monday, 10 May 2027

That is 27 weeks, including 128 working days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in Poland).

The Polish exam board announces the date by 20 August of the school year before. The count is to the first day: the Polish language exam at 9:00.

Where these numbers come from: [Key dates of the Polish school year 2026/2027](https://ordiarion.com/blog/key-dates-polish-school-year-2026-2027)

The exam takes three days: Polish, mathematics and a modern foreign language. There is no pass mark, so nobody fails it, but the result together with the school report decides admission to secondary school. In admissions the Polish and maths percentages are multiplied by 0.35 and the language by 0.3, so the exam gives at most 100 of the 200 points; the other 100 come from grades and achievements on the report.
