## How the norm is worked out

The Polish Labour Code (art. 130) gives 8 hours for every Monday to Friday and takes off 8 hours for every public holiday not falling on a Sunday. This month: 23 × 8 h − 2 × 8 h = 168 h.

First working day: Thursday, 2 January 2076. Last working day: Friday, 31 January 2076.

## Deadlines for this month

- Pay at the latest on Monday, 10 February 2076 (by the 10th of the next month; when that is a day off, the day before, art. 85 of the Labour Code).
- ZUS contributions and the PIT advance of a sole trader: by Thursday, 20 February 2076.
- VAT and the JPK_V7M return for monthly filers: by Tuesday, 25 February 2076.

A tax or contribution deadline that falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday moves to the next working day (art. 12 § 5 of the Tax Ordinance). Pay moves the other way.

## Long weekends

- 1 January (Wednesday): 2 days of leave (2 January and 3 January) give 6 days off, 1 January - 6 January
- 6 January (Monday): 3 days off without any leave, 4 January - 6 January
