# Working days and hours in Poland, May 2079

**May 2079 has 21 working days and a working time norm of 168 hours.**

The norm is for a full-time job in the basic working time system. Calendar days this month: 31.

## Public holidays

- Monday, 1 May 2079 - Labour Day
- Wednesday, 3 May 2079 - Constitution Day

## How the norm is worked out

The Polish Labour Code (art. 130) gives 8 hours for every Monday to Friday and takes off 8 hours for every public holiday not falling on a Sunday. This month: 23 × 8 h − 2 × 8 h = 168 h.

First working day: Tuesday, 2 May 2079. Last working day: Wednesday, 31 May 2079.

### Part-time norms

- 1/2 of full time: 84 h
- 3/4 of full time: 126 h
- 1/4 of full time: 42 h

Legal basis: art. 130 of the Polish Labour Code and the Act of 18 January 1951 on public holidays (Christmas Eve off since 2025). More: [working days versus the working time norm](https://ordiarion.com/blog/polish-working-time-norm-explained).

- ZUS contributions and the PIT advance of a sole trader: by Tuesday, 20 June 2079.
- VAT and the JPK_V7M return for monthly filers: by Monday, 26 June 2079.
