Poland minimum wage 2027: 4,950 PLN gross, net pay and the hourly rate for every month

From 1 January 2027 the minimum wage in Poland is 4,950 PLN gross a month, which is 3,703.93 PLN net, and the minimum hourly rate is 32.30 PLN. What that means per hour in each month of 2027, for night work and for civil-law contracts.

From 1 January 2027 the minimum wage in Poland is 4,950 PLN gross a month, 144 PLN more than in 2026. Take-home pay is 3,703.93 PLN. The minimum hourly rate for civil-law contracts (umowa zlecenie) is 32.30 PLN gross. The Council of Ministers set both amounts in a regulation published on 15 September 2026 (Dz.U. 2026 item 1213). There is only one increase in 2027, in January.

The 2027 minimum wage in numbers

2026 2027
Gross 4,806.00 PLN 4,950.00 PLN
Net (standard) 3,605.85 PLN 3,703.93 PLN
Net (under 26, youth relief) 3,886.93 PLN
Total cost to the employer approx. 5,963.77 PLN
Minimum hourly rate (civil-law contract) 31.40 PLN 32.30 PLN

Net pay is for a full-time employment contract (umowa o pracę) with the standard 250 PLN tax-deductible costs, the 300 PLN tax-reducing amount and no PPK. Employees under 26 with the youth relief pay no income tax advance, so they take home more.

How 4,950 PLN gross becomes 3,703.93 PLN net

From 4,950 PLN gross the employee pays:

  • 678.65 PLN in social security (ZUS): pension 9.76%, disability 1.5%, sickness 2.45%,
  • 384.42 PLN in health insurance (9% of pay after ZUS),
  • 183 PLN income tax advance.

That leaves 3,703.93 PLN. With PPK (2% of pay, 99 PLN) take-home pay drops by about that much, and the employer's PPK contribution is also taxed.

The hourly rate in each month of 2027

The monthly wage is fixed, but the number of working hours is not. The working time norm in 2027 ranges from 144 hours in May to 176 hours in March, April and June to September. On the minimum wage, an hour of work is therefore worth between 28.12 PLN and 34.38 PLN.

This is not trivia. The hourly rate is the base for overtime pay of employees on a fixed monthly salary, and the night work allowance is 20% of the minimum wage hourly rate in a given month.

Month 2027 Norm (hours) Per hour Night allowance per hour
January 152 32.57 PLN 6.51 PLN
February 160 30.94 PLN 6.19 PLN
March 176 28.12 PLN 5.62 PLN
April 176 28.12 PLN 5.62 PLN
May 144 34.38 PLN 6.88 PLN
June 176 28.12 PLN 5.62 PLN
July 176 28.12 PLN 5.62 PLN
August 176 28.12 PLN 5.62 PLN
September 176 28.12 PLN 5.62 PLN
October 168 29.46 PLN 5.89 PLN
November 160 30.94 PLN 6.19 PLN
December 168 29.46 PLN 5.89 PLN

May has the fewest hours: 1 May falls on a Saturday, which lowers the norm, and 3 May and Corpus Christi take two more working days. Why a Saturday holiday cuts the hours is explained in working days vs the monthly hours norm, and every month of 2027 is in the working days calculator for 2027.

The 32.30 PLN hourly rate: who it applies to

The minimum hourly rate covers civil-law contracts (umowa zlecenie and contracts for services), including sole traders who personally work for a client. Every hour of such work in 2027 must be paid at least 32.30 PLN gross, and the client has to keep a record of the hours.

On a civil-law contract every hour counts. To log and add up hours, including shifts that run past midnight, use the work hours calculator.

What else moves with the minimum wage

Several other amounts are tied to the minimum wage:

  • downtime pay cannot be lower than the minimum wage,
  • the amount protected from deductions (bailiff seizures and loans repaid from salary) rises with the net minimum wage,
  • the night work allowance is based on the minimum wage hourly rate (table above),
  • some severance payments and compensation are capped at a multiple of the minimum wage.

The minimum wage also sets the preferential ZUS contributions for new businesses: their base is 30% of the minimum wage, which is 1,485 PLN in 2027. Full contributions for business owners depend on the forecast average wage instead.

144 PLN more, but for what

Of the 144 PLN gross raise, about 98 PLN a month reaches your account. That is roughly one or two streaming subscriptions. If you do not want it to dissolve into everyday spending, plan it from January: add it to savings or to paying off debt early. Ordiarion shows how much of your salary is left after fixed costs, so it is easy to decide where the raise goes.
