How many days are left until the holidays, Christmas, an exam or any date you pick. Below is a countdown to the key dates of the year; each one opens as its own counter.

Today is not counted and the target day is: from Friday to Saturday is one day. On the day itself the page says it is today.
The last day of the Polish school year: the first Friday after 20 June. The holidays start the next day.
Christmas Eve, 24 December. It has been a public holiday in Poland since 2025, so for most people that is when Christmas starts.
Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring, as the church tables set it, so it falls between 22 March and 25 April. We compute it with the same algorithm calendars use.
From the exam schedule the Polish exam board (CKE) publishes by 20 August before each school year. Until the next date is published, the page says so instead of guessing.
On 1 September. When that day is a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, school starts on the following Monday.
Subtract today's date from the target date. The easiest way is month by month: take the days left in the current month, add the full months in between and the days in the target month.
Example: from 1 March to 25 June 2027. March has 31 days, so 30 are left after the 1st. April has 30, May 31, and June counts 25. That makes 30 + 30 + 31 + 25 = 116 days.
It depends on the question. "How many days are left" is usually counted as it is here: without today, with the target day. If you want the length of a whole period including its first day (a Monday-to-Friday holiday is 5 days, not 4), add one.
February has 29 days in years divisible by 4, except years divisible by 100 that are not divisible by 400. The next leap year is 2028, with 366 days, so a countdown across the end of its February is one day longer.
