Working days and hours in Poland, January 2028
January 2028 has 20 working days and a working time norm of 152 hours.
The norm is for a full-time job in the basic working time system. Calendar days this month: 31.
Public holidays
- Saturday, 1 January 2028 - New Year's Day (Saturday: lowers the norm by 8 hours, the employer gives another day off)
- Thursday, 6 January 2028 - Epiphany
How the norm is worked out
The Polish Labour Code (art. 130) gives 8 hours for every Monday to Friday and takes off 8 hours for every public holiday not falling on a Sunday. This month: 21 × 8 h − 2 × 8 h = 152 h.
First working day: Monday, 3 January 2028. Last working day: Monday, 31 January 2028.
Part-time norms
- 1/2 of full time: 76 h
- 3/4 of full time: 114 h
- 1/4 of full time: 38 h
Legal basis: art. 130 of the Polish Labour Code and the Act of 18 January 1951 on public holidays (Christmas Eve off since 2025). More: working days versus the working time norm.
