How the norm is worked out
The Polish Labour Code (art. 130) gives 8 hours for every Monday to Friday and takes off 8 hours for every public holiday not falling on a Sunday. This month: 22 × 8 h − 2 × 8 h = 160 h.
First working day: Friday, 2 January 2099. Last working day: Friday, 30 January 2099.
Part-time norms
- 1/2 of full time: 80 h
- 3/4 of full time: 120 h
- 1/4 of full time: 40 h
Legal basis: art. 130 of the Polish Labour Code and the Act of 18 January 1951 on public holidays (Christmas Eve off since 2025). More: working days versus the working time norm.
